Management Team: Dr Anirban Basu, Chief Executive

A Masters in Electronics and a Masters and PhD in Computer Science, Dr Anirban Basu has more than twenty-five years of experience in various national and multinational organizations. He has worked for premier organizations like Indian Statistical Institute, CDAC, Siemens Information Systems Ltd., Micros-Fidelio, Computer Associates TCG Software, Ocwen Technology XChange in various senior/ top management capacities. While in CDAC, Dr. Basu played a pivotal role in design and development of India’s first Supercomputer PARAM and in developing system software PARAS, parallel algorithms and applications on it. In his professional career spanning more than two decades, he has contributed towards technical solution design, project planning and management, implementation of process standards etc..

He established the Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) of CDAC in Bangalore in 1993 and has been associated with several reputed academic institutions including Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Dr Basu is a recipient of a number of awards, which includes the prestigious 1985 Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Division Gold Medals of The Institution of Engineers (India), Old Centralian Medal and Sir Asutosh Memorial Medal from Bengal Engineering College, Calcutta University Gold Medal, etc.

He has published about 70 research papers in national and international journals and in conference proceedings and co-authored three books on Advanced Computing, Parallel Processing and Technology Policy.

Dr Anirban Basu is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India) and a Senior Member of IEEE (USA). He is a Life Member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and of National Institution of Quality and Reliability (NIQR).
